It is our hope to make an education at Saint Michael School accessible to anyone who desires it for their student. Thanks to the generosity of local parishes, private donors, and fundraising efforts from our families each year, we have some financial aid available in the form of a tuition discount to families who need it.
Unlike schools with a large, established endowment to draw, our financial aid awards are granted through our annual fundraising efforts. Therefore, we ask you to not only prayerfully consider your family’s real ability to sacrifice for your child's education, but also to discover your own resources, perhaps from your parish or diocese, the Knights of Columbus, state school choice tuition programs, or through contributions from family members.
Applications will be processed online via the FACTS Grant & Aid website. Please note there is a fee charged by FACTS to submit the application. You will be asked to submit documents and answer a series of questions which FACTS will use to evaluate your need and give a recommendation to Saint Michael School. The office will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding financial aid/enrollment paperwork and will walk you through the process.
We do not offer financial aid for our preschool program; however, Vermont residents may be eligible for tuition/care assistance through Vermont State Subsidy.
More information can be accessed through their website:

Be sure to send FACTS all required documentation:
1040 Income Tax Form , your W-2 statement(s) , and any applicable business documents.
Please note: If you choose the “I do not file” field, you will be required to submit documentation of income.
PLEASE NOTE: There is an annual FACTS application fee to file for financial aid. Your application is not complete until all documentation is submitted and the fee is paid.
Please note: FACTS can take up to four weeks to process your completed application.

This is an evolving discussion here in the state of Vermont so all families are encouraged to begin the discussion with your town school board to determine eligibility for tuition to assist your child here at Saint Michael School. To see if your town qualifies, please consult this list:
